Creative Industry – Work Placements

We are pleased to announce work placement opportunities on Film Oxford’s new Moving Image project FLUX – available only to iCreative and BFI Academy students wanting to gain more experience of working in the Creative Industries.

FLUX is an artist moving image platform bringing together 3 professionals to mentor and work alongside young creatives.

Our first FLUX will work with dancer Anna Watkins, sound artist Nicholas O’Brien and film maker Nicola Josse to create a moving image piece for exhibition.

We have up to 10 work placements available and will cover experience in a range of roles;

Production Design – (Props & Costume)
Lighting Assistant
Camera Assistant
Sound Assistant
Photography/Videography
Graphic Design
Social Media Communications
Technicians
Events Management Staff
Post Production

Key dates:

Tuesday 7th May 4.30-6.30pm Film Oxford. INITIAL MEETING with the Artists including mini workshops.

Thursday 9th – 21st May. Film Oxford. PLANNING AND TRAINING workshops in small groups to – times and dates to fit around your other committments.

Tuesday 28th May – Friday 31st May.  PRODUCTION WEEK. Your involvement will depend on roles you are assisting with.

Tandem Festival – Set up Thurs 20th June – De-rig Monday 24th June

Modern Art Oxford – Celebratory screening event. Date TBC

Dancin’ Oxford Festival – Sat 13th July
